ZHL Auto Accident Scholarship Announcement

Zaner Harden Law in Denver, Colorado is sponsoring a $2,000 scholarship for students who have either been injured in a car crash or who have a blood-relative that was injured in a car crash. The small personal injury firm has seen firsthand how a car accident can turn a person’s life upside down.

Accidents involving cars cause some of the most severe injuries, due to the size and speed of motor vehicles. Injuries can range from whiplash to herniated discs to crushed bones. Often times, expensive and painful surgeries must be performed to correct these injuries. These types of events and the accompanying expenses take a heavy toll on injured folks and their families. It’s common for injured persons to rely on their relatives for physical care or financial support during the recovery process. For example, many people find themselves taking their injured relatives to medical appointments or providing in-home care when an injury impairs a person’s mobility. Physical recovery can take months. And then there’s the psychological aspect. It isn’t uncommon for victims and their families to fear getting into a vehicle after a horrific accident. These are just some of the challenges injured people and their families face.

In the end, car accident injuries can end up costing tens of thousands of dollars and may prevent the injured person from working. These expenses can prevent parents from financially helping their child attend college. According to a recent survey, 75% of parents help contribute to their child’s college education expenses. This is precisely why students with injured parents or siblings are eligible for Zaner Harden Law’s scholarship.

Attorneys Kurt Zaner and Marc Harden are no strangers to personal injury law. They started their Denver law firm with the goal to help people make sure “their story gets told.” Their commitment to their clients has earned them some of the most prestigious awards in the legal field and they’ve been featured on places like ABC News and Good Morning America regarding a recent lawsuit against GM. They hope this scholarship can help remove the financial barriers for at least one person affected by car injuries.
